Hello my Clan of the Crave Bears! Can you believe we are coming up on a year and a half in the podcast? Time has flown. To give you an update if you’ve been listening, my main squeeze Bob is having spinal surgery next week. He’s been having a hard time, so I’ll be glad for him to get back to feeling better. He’s been in pain for so long, and not knowing what is wrong, and it’s been a really hard time for all of us. Being a care taker is hard, and these hard times are when it’s easy to get out of the good habits you’ve created.
One of my toxic habits…….sugar, has been an indulgence for my emotional cravings lately. I’m going to be getting off sugar soon, and then I will eventually bring it back in healthy doses.
Check out my favorite Cravings Cleanse Spiced Rice Pudding:
2 c. cooked rice
2 c. unsweetened almond or coconut milk
1/2 c. organic raisins
1 2 t. cinnamon
1 to 2 cardamom
1 t vanilla extract
1 pinch sea salt
5 drops liquid Stevia extract
Cook in a pot over medium heat. Simmer then reduce to low for 5 minutes. Cover and let the liquids absorb into the rice. Once liquid is absorbed, dig in.
