Topic: Love Bombing

On today’s episode of RSP, C.L. poses the question, “Have you ever been love-bombed?”  A fairly new term, love-bombing is the practice of showering a person with excessive affection and attention in order to gain control, a behavior typically demonstrated by narcissists. During the conversation, Nique has a lightbulb moment. “This just happened to me,” she admits. C.L. is not surprised that she, or any of us, has been love-bombed. Unfortunately, it’s a common practice that often goes undetected. Yusuf shares his personal experience of being a victim of love-bombing, but he also admits that he’s done much of the things listed as examples. The conversation easily lends itself to a discussion about soulmates. “It’s not a thing,” C.L. retorts, but Nique definitely disagrees with that thought.
