Today I chat with Heidi Jane, founder of Droppin' Knowledge with Heidi, about vital foundational reading skills that all teachers need to know. The best part is that all of Heidi's methods and resources are backed by evidence and research. Heidi is a former public-school teacher trained in LETRS EC, IMSE Orton-Gillingham, and Top 10 Tools. She is a National Facilitator for LETRS EC.  She has presented at National conferences as well as provided training at the district level.  Heidi is the author of P is for Paint, which is the one and only alphabet book with embedded mnemonics. She is has written and self-published the Decodable Adventure Series books. Heidi is passionate about sharing everything she has learned about teaching reading (the right way) and bridging the gap between research and the classroom.
