Episode 85 Christ in You
What is our salvation? Is it believing the Bible is the Word of God? Is it believing the right teaching? Is it an experience with God? Is it belonging to the right Church? All of these things have their place, but our salvation is not these but rather “Christ in you.” Today we continue the subject of our last program which was that “Christ may be fully formed in us.” We share some ministry on this subject by Gordon Gentry given in May 1998. He begins in Ephesians chapter 1 and seeks to show us how Christ Himself is our salvation.
Some of the key points are as follows: • We are justified in Christ • God is working all things to His end purpose in Christ • Christ is the Living Word dwelling in us • Christ brings us to the end of what we can do (death to self) • Many of our problems are because we are consumed with “me” • Growth is the increasing manifestation of His life in us • We must not let this world and its philosophy control us • Obedience is to what Christ is saying to us now in a living relationship
