I’ve been tracking Evan Patterson’s career for over twenty years. Jaye Jayle is his latest creative endeavor and his most accomplished, creating stark landscapes and broad sound horizons, concurrently somber and cathartic. It’s music for long drives or possibly a modern Jim Thompson adaptation. I spoke with Evan on the day his new record Prisyn was released.
