Tales of winged creatures and mysterious visitors in black go back to the beginning of recorded history, in just about every culture. In Point Pleasant, West Virginia during 1966 & 1967, these ominous visitors would serve as omens for a terrible tragedy that struck the town one December evening when the Silver Bridge collapsed into the river below.
