#88: Fairleigh Cook Jackson - Building Forwards and Backwards

Fairleigh Jackson joined Preserve Louisiana as the organization’s second Executive Director in September 2015. She has a 10-year record of service to area and statewide non-profit organizations, including serving as director of Member Services for the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations. She has also served as a director of Advancement with the LSU Museum of Art and director for the Community Fund for the Arts. Fairleigh has served on the board of directors of the Mid City Redevelopment Alliance and currently serves on the executive committee and as chair of the collections committee for the Louisiana State Museum system. She also chairs the board of Louisiana Citizens for Culture.

Needless to say, her involvement in this community is a vibrant contribution and it's been recognized through numerous awards and honors. Today, we dive into the meaning, impact and philosophy behind historical preservation and how we, as locals, can play our part.
