Who doesn’t love an awards ceremony?! As you can imagine, when Seb and Verity were invited to come and interview the winners at the 20th Ivors Composers Awards the lure of a celebration, a party atmosphere, bowl food and plentiful wine was a no brainer!
This episode features some of the inspirational and extraordinarily talented recipient’s of this year’s awards - along with some old friends of the pod…
We’ve kept in some of the chat in between guests and a couple of eggy moments to give a true representation of our first awards ceremony experience but if you prefer your coverage slicker and more professional, we will be releasing a YouTube program soon.
Huge thanks to Rebecca Johns at Premier Classical for inviting us to The Ivors, along with Edward Christian-Hare who kept us on the straight and narrow. Plus a massive thank you to old friend Ian Whitehead for filming proceedings and making us look coherent - big ask!
