Today's guest Paralympian, disability activist, Co-founder of the Red Dust Healers; Kathleen O'Kelly - Kennedy and I talk about what it is to have a disability in 2020. We talk on how discussions around disability are changing and the shift in the obligation people with a disability feel towards making abled people feel comfortable when asked ‘what happened there?
We discuss how its parent's responsibility and the world as a whole to educate and talk about with their children that every person is different. No one person will ever be the same and whether you have 10 fingers and toes, 2 legs and two arms or weather you are missing a limb, eyes, your skin is a different colour or your body looks different.
We talk intimately about Kathleen experiences with bullying, suicide, trolls and how her she finds her disability a blessing.
