We are part of a world where competence means nothing and it really is all about "how you play the game", and how we play is with a beer in one hand at all times. This world is village cricket. When we think of the long summer months, we think of traipsing halfway across London with a heavy kit bag, excited for another chance at glory, yet fully prepared for an afternoon of dire disappointment. Win or lose though, sharing a beer with mates afterwards and laughing about the many, many, many failures is something we will always enjoy.
