Dare to Daydream

9. Matthew Goldstein

Listen Later

Twelve years ago, Matthew was succeeding in his corporate career in the retail Industry. However, Matthew could feel a calling that his life had more to offer. He found himself putting money over happiness, and knew that a major

change was needed in his life.

As he began dipping his toe in the philanthropic world as a suicide hotline volunteer, he could feel his life’s purpose and work begin to unfold. He knew there was more, and his background  in corporate retail told him that others did

too, but they just didn’t know how.

The need was clear, and the desire to give was too, so

Matthew built the bridge – Besa. Matthew believes if you lift one, you lift us all. Besa was built helping the community it serves to find volunteer opportunities and giving back as an everyday part of life.

Today, Besa serves over 200 nonprofits around central Ohio. In this episode, Matthew talks about the importance of community and finding purpose in our daily lives and the work that we do.
