Hello and welcome to the 4th episode in this pelvic floor podcast series.

Today we are diving in deep to over-active pelvic floor muscles. This is a supperrrrr common issue for many women that I treat and it is so important to recognise whether you may have over-active muscles. Having an over-active pelvic floor can actually sometimes present very similarly to having a weak pelvic floor which is super confusing right?!

Today we will cover:

  • Symptoms of an over-active pelvic floor
  • Why over-active does not equate to “stronger”
  • The importance of pelvic floor relaxation
  • Belly breathing strategies to help you relax
