9. Parental leave is not a vacation.

Screaming into my own echo chamber about the imbalance of gender equality feels amazingly cathartic, but it led to resentment in my relationship with my husband, and last time I checked, resentment lacks utility. 

As the magnificent Liz Plank says, “The only way we can improve women’s lives is by helping men.” If I want men to see women’s experiences, shaming them isn't going to work. Instead, I'm inviting men to have uncomfortable conversations about gender equality so you feel empowered to do the same.
