We dive into Hanya Yanagihara's work and ruminate on the role of the novel as an enduring medium (11:15). Then we (finally!) give our two cents on the new hit HBO series The Last of Us (22:13), before shooting ourselves in the foot by recommending somebody else's podcast (33:42). From there it's back to food, where we discuss what a good restaurant experience really means these days (41:30), and recommend a spice mix we think everyone's been sleeping on (50:20). We round things off with a shout out to three musicians making some perhaps unexpected noise (54:00).
