What is spirituality? How do I become spiritual? I know a lot of you probably believe in a higher power but don’t necessarily identify with all of the “woo woo” or super “spiritual” stuff am I right? The other day my friend Soph asked me, “So how do I believe in a higher power without completely filling my room with crystals?” and that really got me thinking...
First of all, we are spiritual beings having a human experience. This means that we already ARE spiritual and have a connection to a higher power aka the creator of everything ever (I offer a list of spiritual books and people in the episode that you can learn more about this concept from). Building a relationship with a higher power of your own understanding does not have to look like worshiping some man in the sky. It can be the universe, God, love, nature, gaia... it could be a community of people you have around you that makes you feel connected to something bigger than yourself. It doesn't matter what it is, all that matters is that you have faith, curiosity, and an eagerness to connect with it.
Crystals or tarot cards just might not be your vibe and THAT'S OKAY! It doesn't mean you aren't spiritual. Continue searching to figure out what feels good and authentic for you. At the end of the day, all you need to connect with your higher power is YOU.
