In this episode Ngaynia (Linda) and Justin are joined by Yariah Myers. Yariah is a young woman from Illinois. Just before the George Floyd murder and protests that ensued, Yariah had relocated to Minnesota. You'll hear us talk about that and her experience since moving to Minnesota. Inspired through all of these experiences Yariah wrote her first spoken word piece, titled Tell Us. And wow, is it moving! Look out for a separate video and recording of the poem by itself. Yariah also shared with all of us the story of Eric Lurry from Joliet, Illinois. Skip to the 36 minute mark to hear that story in particular.
