Idea: A community kind of like the Amish but where technology and culture is based on the 1990s (or some other time period), but they still have up-to-date medical technology. Also: bartering with the Amish; Napster, beepers, and giant "Saved By the Bell" cell phones; dividing the entire world into self-sufficient societies based on different technological eras for robustness in case a major disaster like a super-volcano occurs
