We all make mistakes! Yet many of us in the medical field are afraid to admit it, even to ourselves. Making an error, not knowing something, being wrong, those are the moments where we get to learn!

In this short conversation, I get to share my thoughts on being vulnerable and how we need to help shift the culture around vulnerability. A suggestion I offer is that it starts with leadership. Only when leaders who influence a culture are able to open themselves up to mistakes, does honesty open in the community. To my leaders, share your mistakes and share your humanity. We are all human and we can all learn from our mistakes.
