Geraldine had gone to bed on Tuesday evening, September 10, expecting to do an ABC Radio "Life Matters" special on apprenticeships the following morning.
Instead, she woke up to vision of the smouldering ruins of the Twin Towers. She furiously scrambled to line up a new show that captured that horrors of the previous 12 hours.
