The Epistles to Diognetus is a 2nd century letter written by a disciple of Jesus to his pagan friend in which he tries to explain the Christian faith in a way his friend will resonate with and understand. It is an amazing window into what the early Christians emphasized and an amazing guide towards understanding and explaining Christianity today.
