This week, we returned to our series on Matthew with Ricky's sermon on Matthew 15:1-20. Ricky walks through Jesus's conversation with the Pharisees as he challenges their cultural influences on God's law. Jesus teaches that it is not what goes into our mouths that defiles us, but what comes out of our mouths, because out of the mouth comes the truth of our hearts. How do we allow culture to influence our beliefs more than God's Word? The answer is not to try and "spray paint" our lives, but to allow God's Holy Spirit to transform our hearts.
