Apple: Skin to Core is a YA collection of stories in verse and prose describing the author's life experience of coming of age as a Native American and also highlights important issues that everyone should know about. Kaylee and Lian highlight a couple of issues that they think were important from the book and discuss ways that teachers could incorporate this book into the classroom.
