Supermodel Gigi Hadid recently shut down her haters and body shamers on Twitter by revealing that she was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease. On this episode of Be Here For A While, comedian Rachael O'Brien shares her personal journey with Hashimoto's Disease and hypothyroidism for the first time publicly, after being inspired by Gigi's boldness to speak up. Rachael was diagnosed in her early 20's with the rare disease and has dealt extensively with symptoms of chronic illness including weight fluctuation, brain fog, stress, anxiety, fatigue, and the unspoken social pressures of balancing taking care of your body while trying to keep up with a fast paced lifestyle. In this episode, Rachael shares a very vulnerable, real side of what she deals with daily in order to feel happy and shares tips that she's learned over the years that have helped her find the balance.
