Christ’s love for us demonstrates itself in how he warns us in his Word about the dangers of our sin and our desperate need for a Savior. That love, then, shows itself when we gently, but firmly point out the sin that threatens the loved ones in our lives, including our fellow Christians. At the same time, it is necessary for us to remember to do that with a humble spirit, since we are no better and just as much need the forgiveness that comes through Christ’s blood and righteousness. Christ love for us on the cross puts out love into action.
