My guest this week is certainly an inspiration! Gina Fioroni is one of those badass ultrarunning chicks that you see out running races nearly every weekend. This year, she decided to take on the Grand Slam of ultrarunning. Typically, that means running four of the oldest 100 milers in the country in one year. At the time of this interview, Gina had run 3 of the 4 hundred milers and since this interview, she has completed the Grand Slam and is officially a Slammer! Please, take a moment to give her a congrats, it’s a huge accomplishment! I was at the finish line of the Leadville 100 and when I saw her finish, it wasn’t exactly the best condition I’d seen Gina in. She had a major case of the “ultra lean” going on and she was right up against the 30-hour cutoff. Find out why a seasoned veteran like Gina was at the back of the pack. Better yet, listen to Gina and her incredible story of dogged persistence at this year’s Grand Slam of ultrarunning.
