DURANDET NAMED MANAGING DIRECTOR OF WITTUR EUROPE

Wittur has named Geoffroy Durandet managing director of Europe. In this role, he is responsible for European Sales and Operations and for driving Wittur growth across the continent. Prior to joining Wittur, Durandet held various senior positions with Otis, including managing director in Luxembourg, Canada, the U.K., Ireland and central Europe. Most recently, he was managing director of Otis France. Durandet holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Central-Supélec in France and an MBA from Harvard School of Business in the U.S.

 

LIFTECH EXPO SET FOR FEBRUARY

The dates of February 9-12, 2017, have been set for the LifTech Jeddah 2017 Expo, taking place at the Jeddah Centre for Forums & Events in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The regional elevator and escalator show covers the Middle East and North Africa and will feature international country pavilions from India, Egypt, China and Turkey. Vista Trade Fairs plans to host more than 200 exhibitors and 15,000 visitors attending from the construction and engineering fields.

 

28-STORY HOTEL PLANNED IN NYC’S FINANCIAL DISTRICT

If FIT Investment Corp. receives necessary approvals, it plans to build a 28-story Aloft Hotel at 50 Trinity Place in New York City’s (NYC) Financial District, New York YIMBY reports. Designed by Peter Poon, who is behind the look of numerous hotels in NYC, the building would have 173 rooms and feature a gray, seven-story base topped by a set-back white tower facing Trinity Church. The rooms would join a restaurant and amenities within 77,310 sq. ft.
