Chris Corchiani met his first basketball when he was three years old, dribbling under the tutelage of his Dad and eventual high school coach. He went on to play four successful years at NC State, making his name as Fire in the duo of Fire and Ice with his teammate Rodney Monroe, going to the NCAA Tournament three straight years, leaving school as the first person ever to make 1,000 assists in a career, and ultimately being honored with All ACC and All America awards. He played professionally with the Orlando Magic, Washington Bullets and the Boston Celtics.
But that success almost did not happen as Chris was initially cut by Orlando despite being drafted as the 36th pick overall. His reaction to that news would come to jump start his playing career, changing the immediate direction of his life. Listen to him tell that story in this podcast as well how he worked for years to become the player he was, and also the story of his career after basketball, both in real estate and a highly successful title insurance company. There is always a Chapter Two for people who will look and work for it. Chris is one of those.
