This week our trio discuss Mario Bava's A Bay of Blood. (Aka Ecologia del delitto, reazione a catena chain reaction, Carnage, Twitch of the Death Nerve and Blood Bath) Mario Bava is the granddaddy of modern Italian horror but doesn't seem to have the same cachet as a Fulci or Argento with horror fans but he sure did make some of the best Italian horror films of all time. A Bay of Blood sets up most of what would go on to be the Giallo genre. Cool deaths, unhinged plot, and groovy early 70s partying. What more can you ask of cinema?
