Read Hebrews 8:1-13. What is God’s Word saying to you in this passage? What is God’s heart for His people?

In verse 5, Scripture talks about how priests and the offering system only served as a copy and a shadow of the heavenly things. Discuss the similarities and differences between the old way versus how it is with Jesus.

What was the problem with the first covenant, and what did God promise to do in the New covenant? (see verses 10-13)

What does it mean to have God’s laws written on our hearts?

If the Law was given to show us right from wrong (and how much sin is in our lives), what did Jesus do for us when He became our High Priest and gave us the new covenant?

Read Romans 8:1-9. This passage is an incredible picture of what Jesus has done for us in the New Covenant. It is also a beautiful picture of how we are to live and enter into the New Covenant that Jesus has established. From this passage, discuss all the ways we can live our lives in response to the New Covenant.
