God wants our lives to be cleansed from the effects of sin in each area of life: our emotions, our relationships, our physical bodies, spiritual lives, etc. He sends the Holy Spirit to renew us, allowing us to experience His presence and power in our lives as we choose to leave behind the patterns of the world to walk with Jesus and become more like Him.
