Overview: Is it possible to be confident of Godos blessing in a world which is not always friendly---Peteros unequivocal answer is oYeso.--Such confidence in Godos care is a strong antidote to the fear that could so easily disable.--We need not cave in to the evil that is so prevalent.--Whilst our eyes are to be on our eternal home we must not be overcome by pessimism and terror in the present.----The blessing of ogood dayso is not simply a product of chance, but God's promise to the faithful fulfillment of our calling to live compassionately and humbly, not repaying evil with evil but with blessing.--This does not guarantee trouble free existence because osuffering for what is righto is a part of our calling.--But with such suffering we can have great expectation of Godos goodness, not only in our future inheritance but here and now in our present circumstances.--Not only that, but sanctifying Christ as Lord over this life, knowing there is no part of the creation that does not belong to Him, gives us the gentle boldness to respond to a world that cannot makes sense of the hope that sustains us.
