Psalm 119 is a blessed hymn to God's Word. We don't take that word "blessed" lightly. God's Word carries with it the weight of God's glory. The weight of God's glory is not light. God's glory has a weight beyond anything of this world. The blessing of the gospel is that God will share his glory with us. He will do it through his Word.
The blessing of God's Word will not come without a challenge. The challenge is that this world cannot receive God's Word. There is a veil over the hearts of all who belong to this world. However, once a person turns to Christ, that veil is removed. The miracle of God's Word, described in Psalm 119, comes alive. Now we can say, "Your servant will meditate on your decrees. Your statutes are my delight; they are my counselors" (Psalm 119:23-24). This is a blessed life.
