The subject of YA books being banned or censored has again reared its ugly head, with fellow YA author Laurie Halse Anderson, being subject to DR. Wesley Scroggins spouting off. He has called the rape scenes in SPEAK and says the book should be banned from his school system. With other YA others such as Ellen Hopkins and Sarah Ockler also having there writing, it is time the readers and writers had their say.
