In "Mushroom Cloud: Book I of the First Strike Series," readers are introduced to Caleb Young, a seasoned Chief CIA Scientist who has served as a nuclear diplomacy advisor to Truman, Eisenhower, and Kennedy. However, following Kennedy's assassination and Young's denigration of the Warren Commission Report, he finds himself at the center of a Department of Justice inquiry, threatening to destabilize the CIA's covert funding for paramilitary operations.
