Words and phrases that might be new:

• kick something off : to start
• social deprivation: lacking resources to various things such as jobs, education, higher incomes, etc.
• play out: to become; to unfold; to turn out
• breweries: factories where beer is made
• specific: clear; exact
• basin: a special term used to describe where water empties into from canals, rivers or even the sea
• balti:  a type of curry
