It's time for the third instalment of the 2025 Season Review Series - this time we're looking at the Seattle Mariners!

Joining us for this review is Cal's Crocodile Death Trap bandmate - Josh Eldridge!

The Mariners had a fantastic season, finishing the regular season with a record of 90-72, good for first place in the AL West! 

They beat the Tigers in the Divisional Series before losing out in 7 games to the Toronto Blue Jays in the AL Championship Series!

The Mariners were led from the front by catcher Cal Raleigh who ended the regular season with a massive 60 HRs and 125 RBIs - with Julio Rodriguez and Randy Arozarena playing more than supporting roles.

The trade deadline additions of Josh Naylor & Eugenio Suarez added some much needed pop to the corner infield positions and almost took the Ms all the way to the World Series!

The rotation has always been a strength of the Mariners - but this year it was the normally underrated Bryan Woo who led the staff!

So what does 2026 have in store for the trident wielding legends from the Pacific North-West?

It's time for the next instalment of the 2025 Season Review Series - this time we're looking at the Los Angeles Angels!

Joining us for this review is lifelong Angels fan - Niko Guardado!

The Angels finished 2025 in last place in the AL West with a record of 70-92. Despite the off-season showing a bit of life with the signings of Yusei Kikcuhi and Travis D'Arnaud, it just never really clicked for the Angels this year. 

Kikuchi was the bright spot in a bit of a lacklustre rotation for the Angels, and the bullpen wasn't much better! 

On the positional side it was a bit of a better story - with Jo Adell and Taylor Ward having career years, supported by Anaheim legend Mike Trout and shortstop Zach Neto!

On the managerial side, due to ill health Ron Washington was unable to finish the season and won't be returning in 2026. Kurt Suzuki instead has been given the reigns for this upcoming season and there is reason for optimism with the fans.

NEW SERIES ALERT!

It's time for the first instalment of the 2025 Season Review Series - and we're kicking off with the Washington Nationals!

Joining us for this review is one half of the Bat Boys - Eric!

The Nationals finished the season in last place in the NL East with a record of 66-96. It was a bit of a weird one for the Nats, as they came into the season with a but of a dark horse vibe about them. 

Led on the mound by Mackenzie Gore and with much expected from rookies James Wood and Dylan Crews, some pundits had the Nats making a potential run at the Wildcard had things gone their way.

Unfortunately for them, it was a season of what could have been, with Manager Davey Martinez and GM Mike Rizzo both let go mid-way through the season, and the Nats got even worse from that point.

Despite all of that James Wood did make the All-Star game and was unlucky to not be a starter and the Nats still do have a young core at their disposal. A couple of free agents and some smart trades and the Nats could be a sneaky dark horse for 2026!

Joining Gaz and Dan on this review is Eric from the Bat Boys - who offered his expertise into what went wrong for the Nats in 2025 but also why there is more optimism for 2026 than the record suggests!

It's a little over halfway in the 2025 World Series and what a humdinger its been!

The Blue Jays and Dodgers have gone toe to toe so far and with 2 games back in Toronto left to go, the Blue Jays currently lead 3-2 in the series.

Game 6 is still 24 hours away so we thought we'd squeeze in a little bonus episode for you all!

Joining Gaz is a very special guest, making her debut on the podcast is avid World Series fan Emily! (A.K.A - the girl that got Gaz into baseball!)

Em has been watching every game in full of the playoffs and believed that we weren't pumped enough for this World Series - so she decided to come on and pump up the crowd herself!

We started with 30 teams back in March, all of whom had aspirations of lifting the World Series....and over time we have seen all 30 teams (well maybe not the Rockies) duke it out for the right to call themselves World Champions!

Only 2 teams now remain, the MoneyBags of Baseball - the Los Angeles Dodgers, and Canada's favourite export, the Toronto Blue Jays.

And just like that the Divisional Series have come to an end.

We already covered the Blue Jays and Dodgers in the previous episode, so this time Dan and Gaz review the Tigers-Mariners and Brewers-Cubs series!

Much to Gaz' disappoinment, the Brewers held on in Game 5 to send his beloved Cubbies home. On the other side of the baseball the Mariners overcame the Tigers after 15 (15!!!) innings of pure drama.

The ALCS kicks off tonight with the Mariners travelling to Toronto to face Trey Yesavage and the Blue Jays. Will the Ms be able to nick a win after such a gruelling series or is it on the Blue Jays to stamp home their authority and take a quick 2-0 lead in the series?

Tomorrow night its Pancake Power v Creative Accounting, as the Brew Crew host the Dodgers in the NLCS. The Dodgers have one of the most stacked lineups in the past 20 years, and the Brewers have a mascot who slides down a slide.....

What voodoo magic will Pat Murphy employ in order to get them over this one?
