Crystal grew up in a traditional filipino home with her parents, Venus and Yoly Tanyag, and her four siblings Arnel, Yaz, Babe, and Pat. She attributes all of her success and knowings to how she was raised up with her family. She is very proud of her filipino heritage and values hospitality and "kapwa" (fellowship) in all life's circumstances. She lives with her husband, Ben, and five children, Reagan, Reggie, Wyatt, Jude, and Miles, in Virginia.
