Tonight's discussion is about the Children of Israel and God's desire to restore them back to His fellowship after their exile. They were exiled to Babylon due to disobedience and their need to worship other gods, and this meant judgment from God because His commandment states that "you shall love the Lord with all of your heart, soul, strength, and mind. And You shall serve no other god before me"  The Children of Israel built their early existence on worshipping and serving the Canaanite gods.  However,  God warned them that he was displeased, but they did not listen until it was too late.
