The playing field for chemical engineers is shifting rapidly and strategies need to be in place to prepare our new graduates for these challenges. At the forefront of academic research a paradigm shift has occurred from traditional analyses at continuum platforms, to the molecular level. No longer is industry dominated by petroleum and chemical processes, but is now augmented by biotechnology and mining.
