Welcome to another fabulous podcast from the Young Professionals in Transplantation (YPT). Today we have a special podcast where we discuss a career in transplant nursing. We are lucky to be able to interview a couple of legends in the field of transplant nursing.
Our guests today include:
Professor Anna Forsberg is a clinical professor in the caring sciences at Lund University in Sweden. She has been a registered nurse since 1991 and did her PhD in health-related quality of life after liver transplantation. She is the current chair of ETHAP (The European Transplant Allied Healthcare Professionals). She has an active research career and continues to inspire a new generation of nurses.
Lisa Burnapp was, until recently, the President of the British Transplantation Society and is a current Associate Medical Director for Living Donation for NHSBT in the UK. Lisa qualified as a nurse in 1985 and has been a Consultant nurse in living donation at Guy’s Hospital in London. She has a masters in medical law and ethics. She rose to the very top of British transplantation and is a true inspiration to all transplant professionals.
Anna Brantmark is a clinical nurse specialist in transplantation at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, Sweden. She is currently doing her PhD in the Art and science of adaptation after liver and visceral transplantation. She is also a board member of the Education Committee of ESOT.
