In this episode, Ari speaks with novelist Dara Horn about the history of Hebrew literature. This genre developed in tandem with modern Israel, from the revival of the language to the 21st century. In her course, students examine a 100-year range of fiction and poetry, identifying historical circumstances that shaped these artists and their work. Ari and Dr. Horn discuss writers such as Hayyim Nahman Bialik, S.Y. Agnon, and Amos Oz.

Dara Horn is the author of a number of award-winning novels.
