"A Certain Point of View" is a short story written by Charlene Newcomb (with illustrations by Mike Vilardi and Daniel Horne) that was originally published in Star Wars Adventure Journal 8 by West End Games in November 1995. It was later reprinted in the short-story anthology Tales from the Empire, which was published by Bantam Spectra in November 1997, and was also made available online at Hyperspace on April 28, 2006. It takes place immediately after the Destruction of Alderaan in 0 BBY.

Tales from the Empire is an anthology about the Galactic Empire; the short stories were selected from the Star Wars Adventure Journal. It begins with an introduction titled "A Galaxy Filled with Stories" by Peter M. Schweighofer.
