April 10th, 4 radical feminist women of The Institute for Technology of the Public Interest joined the WBI show to discuss how they came to speak publicly for the first time through a Git Hub bug report about contact tracing apps. Reframing the debate away from the false dichotomy of surveillance or indefinite quarantine, they reflect on how pandemics historically coincided with war and changing political economies. Aouragh asks how we can change the 7pm pots and pans banging for frontline health care workers to raised fists, angrily demanding a world where governments invest heavily in public health infrastructures.
