Sherie Cornish Gordon became the Director of Athletics at Albany State University after serving two and a half years as the Senior Associate Commissioner for External and Business Administration for the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA). At the CIAA, Gordon’s responsibilities included oversight of the CIAA’s business affairs from budgeting and contracts to risk management and information technology. Ms.Gordon also supervised the conference’s marketing, media relations, advertising, promotions, media buying,branding and licensing, merchandising, sponsorship and media rights for its 16 championship sports
