Ariel Arnold currently serves as the Coordinator of Student Success Assessment and Pathways Tutoring for the Neighborhood Student Success Collaborative and is a HALE Doctoral student at Michigan State University. Previously she worked for TRiO Student Support Services in helping first-generation and limited income students navigate the college process from start to finish. In addition to Ariel’s work with Neighborhood Student Success Collaborative Center, she has instructed courses for Upward Bound high school students, and Western Michigan University student affairs graduate students. Ariel has published a short narrative “First around the World” capturing the experiences of first-generation students and staff. She has presented at the following conferences MI-CAPP, ACPA, NASPA, NCORE, Black Student-Athlete Summit, and the Student Success Summit. Ariel graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts & Science degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice with a minor in Africana Studies and a Master of Arts degree in Education Leadership from Western Michigan University while competing as a Division I student-athlete.
