In this episode, we chat with John Watson, the founder of Evergreen Education Group and the Digital Learning Annual Conference.
John shares their decision to convert DLAC to a hybrid conference in 2021 and a few insider tips for Build Momentum podcast listeners to think about when submitting proposals this year. DLAC is an attendee-centered conference with a focus on short discussions rather than formal presentations.
John also shares his predictions that he believes have the potential to stick post-pandemic:
With such exponential exposure to online learning, many teachers, students, and families are having at least a few good experiences with at least a few aspects of curriculum that they enjoy. That could be the added flexibility or the extra time some parents have with their children and many want to see at least some element of this flexibility continue post-pandemic.
He also believes there will be more wide acceptance of remote work – even from large companies and organizations.
And he also shared the evolution with district leaders, parents, community leaders and stakeholders to manage with a level of constant uncertainty and navigating that flexibility right now.
