We carry a message of truth, hope, and life that turns this world upside down. For some, as Pastor Bill will point out in today’s message, this Gospel feels like a burden. They don’t hear the hope or life it contains. All they hear is the part that says they’re broken, and their sin will lead to destruction, and that makes them mad. Their sinful nature wants to fight back and protect its territory. They might take their anger out on the messenger, and we need to be prepared to face that as followers of Jesus.
