The book of Ezekiel begins with the prophet's close encounter with the God of Israel. Though the experience was surreal, Ezekiel manages to communicate vividly the absolute power of God. His omnipotence is revealed by his commanding presence in all creation and by his determination to bring justice everywhere through his re-creating voice.
