Billy Maynard is an architect who has served as a volunteer bush firefighter since 2020, worked as a designer at Neeson Murcutt Architects and as a Senior spatial designer at the Art Gallery of NSW. Billy Maynard was also the winner for the Kevin Borland Masonry Award in the Think Brick Awards 2022 for his project, House at Flat Rock. A project that uses irregular bonds and cuts of concrete masonry allowing plays of light and darkness to reveal the textured exterior walls.
