In this quick solo episode, I unpack a strange, non-CTA pitch that landed in my inbox during a recent promotions test. The email simply listed Apple Podcasts keyword rankings for “bad podcast pitches” and linked to a site for “full data”—no ask, no context—which left me wondering whether it was a sales attempt or just a curiosity play. I checked the link but didn’t bite; still, it’s a good reminder that unclear intent makes for a confusing pitch, even when the data looks flattering.
